Privacy Policy

Effective Date: May 1st, 2025
Last Updated: June 8th, 2025

At Riding the Tiger, we uphold the sacred right to privacy. We do not exploit visitors, track for profit, or reduce men to metrics. Yet, in this digital age, even noble silence leaves a trace. This policy explains what data we process, why, and how we protect it.

Who we are

This website is operated by:

Caelum and the Project Eutopia team.
They can be reached only via the contact form provided on this website. No public email address is in use. You may reach out with any questions or concerns about privacy, data use, or this policy.

Membership & Registration Access

This website offers access to restricted content through a private membership system. Registration is not open to the public. Individuals may request access via private communication and, upon approval, receive a password-protected link to the registration page.

Accounts are created solely at the request of the user and stored securely. No accounts are registered automatically, and all personal data submitted during registration is used only to manage access and membership.

Member accounts may be deleted upon request, and inactive accounts may be purged periodically to preserve data integrity.

What Data We Collect

We only collect and process data when necessary to maintain the site, improve its performance, or ensure security. We do not ask visitors to create accounts, or submit personal details through forms.

However, the following data may be passively collected when you browse our site:

  • IP address
  • Browser type and device
  • Approximate geographic region (non-specific)
  • Referring website or search term
  • Pages visited and time spent
  • Timestamps and session metadata
  • Cookies or unique identifiers (from embedded services)

We do not collect sensitive data (such as political, medical, or religious information).

Use of Cookies

Our site may use cookies in the following cases:

  • To gather anonymized statistics (e.g., visitor counts via Jetpack or similar services)
  • To display embedded third-party media (e.g., YouTube, Instagram), which may set their own cookies

You will be offered the ability to manage non-essential cookies upon your first visit.

You may also configure your browser to block or delete cookies at any time.

Third-Party Services

We may use the following trusted services:

  • Jetpack / WordPress Stats – for anonymized site analytics
  • Cloudflare or similar CDN providers – for performance and protection
  • Embedded platforms (e.g., YouTube, Instagram) – for enriching content

Some of these services may collect limited technical information. No identifying information is intentionally shared.

Where data is transferred outside the EU, it is done with appropriate safeguards in place (such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions).

Data Retention

We retain technical and correspondence data only for as long as necessary:

  • Server logs: typically 30–90 days
  • Analytics data: up to 14 months (anonymized)
  • Emails: retained for no more than 12 months unless legally or operationally required

We do not archive or build profiles of visitors.

Messages submitted through our contact form are stored securely within the website system and are automatically deleted after 90 days. We do not forward these messages externally unless explicitly necessary to respond to the sender. IP addresses and geolocation data are also purged after the same retention period. Visitors may request full deletion of any stored data at any time.
